Lil Wayne is opening up about his recent hospitalization due to epilepsy. He's battled the disease his whole life, but one of his most recent episodes landed him in the hospital because his friends didn't know he was having an episode.
On Tuesday's episode of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Wayne opened up about that week-long hospital stay. While many of his famous friends came to visit him, he says his most vivid memory is of his mother, who was by his side when he first opened his eyes. Now that he's recuperated, Wayne says he's taken steps to assure that he's healthy. "Weezy" also addressed some of his recent controversies, including rumors that he was banned from Miami Heat home games for a heated incident back in January. While he's not technically banned, Wayne says he doesn't plan to return to Miami's American Airlines Arena.
Lil Wayne also stood strong when it came to the subject of his retirement. Weezy still plans to retire after his Tha Carter V album, however, he has several albums planned before he gets to the fifth chapter of his Tha Carter albums. When he does retire, he plans to do everything he hasn't been able to do, such as spending quality time with his children.
