Residents of Memphis, Tennessee are breaking out their bow ties in honor of "Justin Timberlake Day."
The honor comes ahead of the pop star's performance at the FedExForum tonight as part of his 20/20 Experience World Tour. Bow ties were distributed at the official press conference Monday to honor Justin's hit "Suit & Tie" and Memphis residents everywhere are being encouraged to wear their favorite bow tie as part of the celebration.
In declaring the day "Justin Timberlake Day," Memphis Mayor AC Wharton said it was to honor the Memphis native's "enduring legacy of Memphis music."
Timberlake will be performing before a live television audience at the American Music Awards next Sunday. He's also among the nominee leaders with five nominations. ABC will televise the 2013 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 24th, starting at 8:00 pm Eastern.
