Suge Knight is out of jail on $20,000 bail following his arrest in Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.
The controversial rap music executive was picked up after officers stopped his vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
TMZ.com says the warrant was previously issued because Knight failed to show up in court to address accusations of driving on a suspended license. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge and later released on bail.
Knight is a co-founder of West Coast hip-hop label Death Row Records whose roster, at the height of its popularity, included rap superstars Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre with whom Knight co-founded the label.
