Soulja Boy didn't get to fly the friendly skies the other night after being booted from an American Airlines flight before it left Miami for Brazil.

According to TMZ, the trouble started after he repeatedly ignored flight attendants' requests to sit down as the plane was preparing for takeoff. An attendant explained that Soulja would get the boot if he didn't comply, and when he still wouldn't sit down, he was escorted off the plane by air marshals.

Surprisingly, Soulja quickly owned up to being in the wrong, sending out the following apology to TMZ: "It was a bad night, and me and the flight staff didn’t see eye to eye. In hindsight, I’m extremely sorry for all inconvenience caused to the passengers and employees of the airline."

MY 2 CENTS:

  • Soulja Boy's publicist did a very nice job with that apology.
  • Why can't people just sit down and turn off their phones when it's time to take off? It's not like they're being singled out.
  • Silly to miss a trip to Brazil just because you won't sit down.
