He couldn't get into the Miami Heat locker room, but Drake has been welcomed into the Toronto Raptors front office. The Toronto Star reports that Drake has joined forces with his hometown team, where he'll be in charge in giving the franchise's image a makeover heading into the 2014-15 season.

According to the Star, Drake has been given free reign over everything about the franchise's image, including the team colors. The only thing he can't change is the team's name. Drizzy also plans to release a clothing line in conjunction with the team.

At press conference announcing the move, Drake said he would use the position to be "spreading the gospel" about how great a city Toronto, but said he wouldn't use his popularity among NBA players to try to lure them to his hometown because he doesn't want to break any tampering rules.

MY 2 CENTS:

  • First Jay Z, now Drake. Soon every NBA team is going to have to have a rapper re-make its image.
  • Maybe Kanye could redo the Chicago Bulls' image and have them wear leather sweatpants in warm ups.
  • Drake might be hot right now, but he still has his work cut out for him selling a Canadian city to Americans.
