First they Watched the Throne, and now they're about to rock academia. The University of Missouri's English department has announced that it will offer a class titled "Jay Z and Kanye West."
According to a school catalog, the class will explore such questions as "Where do they fit within, and how do they change, the history of hip-hop music? How is what they do similar to and different from what poets do? And how does their rise to both celebrity and corporate power alter what we understand as the American dream?”
Reading material will include Jay's Decoded and books about rap from Jeff Chang andAdam Bradley.

- Kanye is more important than Walt Disney, Steve Jobs and Ralph Lauren, so he should have a college class about himself.
- Hope no one fails this class. They would feel pretty stupid.
- You'd be pretty nervous at graduation if you were the valedictorian and Kanye were in the audience. "Imma let you finish, but..."
