Nas is bridging the gap between hip-hop and higher education as he was named the face of Harvard University's Fellowship program.
The veteran MC and high school dropout has always considered hip-hop as a form of education and because of that he was asked to have his name used for the program that helps fund hip-hop-related programs at the ivy league institution.
Last Thursday, the MC appeared at Harvard to give his blessing to the program. He said, “Hip-hop is important like computer science. The world is changing. If you want to understand the youth, listen to the music. This is what’s happening right underneath your nose.”
