Hip-hop has taken over the top of the Billboard album chart.
J. Cole's Born Sinner, which hung on to the number-two spot for two weeks, moves up to the number-one spot on the strength of 58,000 sales. Wale's The Gifted is the runner-up this week, with 50,000 units sold.
After one of the biggest drop-offs for a number-one album last week, Kanye West's Yeezus holds onto third place with 39,000 units.
Joe's Doubleback Evolution of R&B, his tenth studio album, debuts at number-six having sold 31,000 its first week.
MY 2 CENTS:
- J. Cole holds down the number-one spot on the charts. Surprised he took over Kanye's spot?
- Hip-hop albums hold town the top three sports on the Billboard chart. What are the chances of this happening again?
